Chlorine,  as an oxidizer,  will increase the oxidation- reduction potential (ORP) of water when it is added to it. When the ORP value is greater than 650mV then bacteria that are present will be killed within seconds. The BL101 was developed to be an inexpensive solution for the consumer to maintain the ideal ORP value at all times. When using proportional control the flow rate that is programmed,  will be impacted by the proportional band used. The closer the reading is to the set point the longer it takes for the peristaltic pump to complete one revolution.
